How askemo reaches every employee in the channel they’ll actually answer

By routing survey invitations through Spotler SendPro & Spotler Message in real time, askemo lets respondents choose email or WhatsApp and stopped losing feedback from people email alone couldn’t reach.

About askemo

Email alone wasn’t giving every employee a way to respond

The core focus of askemo is to run continuous employee surveys instead of a single annual round. That only works if the invitation actually reaches the respondent in a channel they’ll open.

Askemo had added email to its communication strategy, but found that wasn’t enough on its own: not every employee checks email regularly, and for many respondent groups it simply isn’t the channel they engage with. Communicating automatically through the right channel, for each individual respondent, wasn’t something askemo could do yet.

Every unanswered survey is feedback the organisation never gets to act on

For an employee-feedback platform, response rate is key to the product’s success. An invitation that never gets opened means a team’s or individual’s feedback is missing from the results askemo delivers back to its clients.

The business impact was direct: lower completion rates and less representative feedback data, weakening the insights askemo could hand back to its clients.

One API call: the channel the respondent actually picked

Askemo now lets each respondent choose their preferred channel (WhatsApp or email) and calls the matching Spotler API in real time to deliver the survey invitation through it.

Spotler Message handles WhatsApp delivery, including running the survey conversation inside WhatsApp itself. Spotler SendPro handles the email side, sent through askemo’s default flow. No bespoke setup required, since the routing logic sits in askemo’s own platform rather than in custom SendPro configuration.

The capability that mattered most was speed: submitting an API request in real time and getting the survey out through the right channel the moment a respondent expresses a preference, rather than batching sends later.

After the email has been sent, askemo automatically sends delivery and engagement data back into their systems using Event Flows. This process ensures full transparency for customers sending out surveys, without having to guess where the email ended up.
