We’re in the mood for love… so we thought we would take a look at some of the Valentines emails we are loving this year. What we found was a little different this year as brands pay attention to tone, inclusion and fun.
George at ASDA
What we love: Not everyone is with a partner. So using this time of year to reach out to audiences to go ahead and treat themselves is a great way to connect.
Banquist
What we love: Restaurants and the whole hospitality sector has suffered significantly over the past 12months. We love the emergence of at home restaurant kits and what better time to treat yourself and others than on Valentines!
Happy Socks
What we love: Socks aren’t just for Christmas! We love the fun and cheekiness of the Happy Socks brand – so why wouldn’t you give socks for Valentines?
Shein
What we love: Although their imagery is pretty corny – we love that Shein have extended their returns for Valentines, so unwanted gifts can be returned, taking the risk out of potentially buying the wrong product! There’s got to be a stat around how many Valentines presents are returned or not used every year!
Lookfantastic
What we love: We love treating ourselves! And why shouldn’t Valentines Day be one where we spend a little time giving ourselves a little self love 😉
Boots
What we love: We love the use of diverse imagery
Hobbycraft
What we love: Hobbycraft know that in a lockdown not everyone can get to a shop to buy a gift or card. So why not make one?
My Rituals
What we love: We love the inclusivity and diversity in this campaign. It is great to see marketing teams paying attention to using imagery to supporting diversity and inclusivity
M&S
What we love: The diversity! We know this keeps popping up – but it’s important to applause all brands that are normalising the use of diverse people in their marketing imagery
Aromatherapy Associates
What we love: Not everyone can be with those they love this Valentines – we love how Aromatherapy Associates nod to this and encourage their audience to take time for themselves too.
Slime Party UK
What we love: Because children can be involved in Valentines day too!
Goodreads
What we love: For the book lovers out there, why not use Valentines Day as an excuse to pick up a romance novel to see you through?!
Butler & Wilson
What we love: Sometimes you just love the products! Butler & Wilson understand their audience and connect them with the best products. Great success is not just great marketing – the products sometimes just sell themselves!
Pretty Little Thing
What we love: Forget Valentines – spend the evening in with your girls! Again we love the tone around inclusivity and just because you don’t have a partner doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate love!
