CloudSuite Xperience 2026

Get inspired by real-world stories about e-commerce, customer behaviour, and digital growth

How can you use technology not only to digitalise processes, but also to better understand your customers? And how can you use those insights to be relevant at exactly the right moment?

At CloudSuite Xperience 2026, e-commerce professionals, experts and partners will share practical knowledge and real-world experiences. A day packed with inspiration for wholesalers and manufacturers looking to get more from e-commerce and improve their customer experience.

Spotler will be there too. Using the real-world example of Maxima Kitchen Equipment, our colleague Tristan Albersen will show why relevance can sometimes be more valuable than a discount.

Relevance beats discounts

It all started with a discount code that worked a little too well.

Maxima Kitchen Equipment saw customers return multiple times after receiving a win-back campaign. Good news, you might think. Until they took a closer look at those customers’ ordering behaviour.

Some customers were receiving a discount just before they would normally have placed another order anyway. The campaign was credited with the conversion, even though the discount might not have been necessary at all.

It made Maxima question: when does a customer really need a win-back campaign?

In this session, Tristan will show how Maxima changed its approach to win-back. Instead of applying the same fixed timeframe to every customer, they started looking at individual ordering patterns. After all, two months without an order might be an important signal for one customer and completely normal for another.

You will discover how Maxima uses customer behaviour to identify the right moment to communicate, and how marketing automation makes it possible to act on those insights at scale. Because effective win-back is not about sending as many campaigns as possible. It is about knowing when you can genuinely be relevant to a customer.

Speaker: Tristan Albersen, Key Customer Success Manager at Spotler
Time: 14.00 – 15.00

What will you take away from the session?

  • Why a successful campaign does not automatically mean you have generated additional revenue.
  • How to use individual customer ordering patterns to identify relevant win-back moments.
  • Why a period of inactivity is not always a reason to immediately offer a discount.
  • How data and marketing automation help you act at the right moment.
  • How Maxima also uses automation after the purchase to further strengthen customer relationships.

The key lesson from the case is quite simple: look at behaviour, choose the right moment, and build the relationship – not just the next order.

Who is this session for?

This session is relevant for e-commerce professionals, marketers, and commercial professionals working for wholesalers and manufacturers.

Especially if you are looking to get more from customer data, personalisation, and marketing automation. You will see a practical example of how ordering behaviour can help you determine when communication genuinely adds value.
