What exactly is a flow in SendPro?
A flow is a defined sequence of actions that processes an incoming message (typically an email) before it’s delivered to the recipient. A message enters, gets processed according to the flowsteps configured on that flow, then exits for delivery.
What happens if a message doesn't match any flow's conditions?
It falls through to the Default flow, which every environment starts with alongside BCC Messages and Re-sent Messages. Default acts as a basic relay for anything that doesn’t meet a more specific flow’s conditions or hasn’t been given its own configuration.
Does the order of flowsteps matter?
Yes. Flowsteps run left to right within a flow, and that sequence affects the final message, what ends up archived, and how a resent message appears. It’s worth deciding the order deliberately rather than treating it as a formality.
What kinds of conditions can a flow use?
Flow selectors, sender address, subject, header name or value, and data values, matched in guided mode or advanced mode with wildcards and Freemarker expressions. Conditions run as strict AND logic: a message must match every condition to be processed by that flow.
How do I keep the same steps consistent across several flows?
Assign a Flow type when creating or editing a flow. Flow types automatically apply a predefined set of flowsteps, so multiple flows built from the same type stay consistent without you having to rebuild the sequence each time.
Can I reuse a flow, and is it safe to experiment?
Flows become active immediately on saving, so changes take effect straight away. You can copy a flow to another account where you have Designer or Administrator access, and deleting one requires confirmation, so an accidental removal isn’t a single click away.
